The Hangar Supervisor has two main areas of responsibility: ensure the hangar operations are running smoothly and help manage the hangar staff. The Hangar Supervisor directs and supports hangar staff to ensure the hangar is equipped, organized, and ready to receive/execute aircraft visits. This position will also ensure parts are received and issued correctly, tool kits are maintained and organized and help establish new hires with training and company procedures. 

Job Duties:

• Inventory maintenance and control – plan for and manage materials, tools, and support equipment. Work with the Supply Chain department to maintain adequate levels of inventory for current and upcoming projects.
• Compliance control – ensure Company and regulatory standards are being adhered to in all activities and tasks performed in the hangar. Ensuring that all processes, procedures and requirements are being followed such as: technical documentation and maintenance controls.
• Administration – Create and maintain staff schedules, participate in recruitment and selection process for new hangar staff, reviewing and approving timesheets, helping to train and provide orientation for new hires
• Supervision – delegate tasks, provide on-the-job training, manage performance of hangar staff, discipline employees in accordance with company policies, help resolve conflicts within the department
• Process Improvement – Identify, investigate and present corrective actions for issues within the hangar. Implement corrective actions that increase efficiency and effectiveness
• Ensure the hangar stays organized and tidy.
• Assist DOM/PRM and/or Structures Manager on various projects when needed.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in an Aircraft Maintenance/Hangar environment
• Knowledge of Transport Canada regulations
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs as well as aviation-based software
• Ability to operate a forklift and other equipment pertinent to aviation support
• Knowledge of aircraft towing and fueling
• Experience & control of aircraft tooling (including various GSE)
• Managerial or supervisory experience (preferred)
