Coulson Aviation Australia is a subsidiary of global aerial firefighting company, Coulson Aviation, and supports Australian States and Emergency Service Organizations with the provision of aircraft and experienced team members. Coulson Aviation operates across the world with a fleet of large aerial firefighting assets consisting of both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft. With our fleet of Boeing 737 FIRELINERS™, Hercules C130, Citation and King Air fire support platforms, CH47D Chinooks, UH60 Blackhawks and Bell 412 helicopters, we provide rapid response capabilities using aviation assets.
Coulson Aviation Australia operate and manage New South Wales Rural Fire Service-owned aircraft in all aspects of maintenance, fleet support systems and management, and operating personnel. Our teams perform aerial firefighting missions, transport flights, intelligence and scanning missions, disaster mitigation, search and rescue operations, and related activities.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
We are currently recruiting a Human Resources Business Partner to be a part of our team. The HR Business Partner will direct and advise a variety of internal stakeholders on how to best manage employment-related risks and initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities will include:
- Maintain a strong understanding of the Coulson Groups’ business lines and stay current on external HR related trends, legislation, and best practices.
- Coach, advise and direct leaders on organizational policy, practices, and HR inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with all audit and risk management requirements.
- Prepare ad-hoc employee data and reports to support workforce analysis and planning.
- Analyze compensation policies, government regulations, and prevailing wage rates to maintain a competitive compensation plan.
- Support and assist in the implementation of organizational change.
- Assist in the full-cycle recruitment process for the roles that you have been tasked with.
- Support managers with the hiring and on-boarding processes which includes sourcing, screening resumes, interviews and assessments, referencing, offers, system updates, and the entire on-boarding process.
- Seek opportunities to optimize technology, improve workflow and processes, create more employee self-service opportunities and make recommendations for improvement through technology and business process optimization
- Collaborate with other HR functional areas as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Must be an Australian citizen or permanent residency status
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Employment Law or related discipline preferred
- 5 years of progressive experience in a diverse HR environment
- Experience with compensation and/or benefits management
- Comprehensive understanding of legislative requirements
- Advanced Technical Writing Skills
- Ability to obtain ASIC and RAAF passes
