Coulson Aviation Australia is a subsidiary of global aerial firefighting company, Coulson Aviation, and supports Australian States and Emergency Service Organizations with the provision of aircraft and experienced team members. Coulson Aviation operates across the world with a fleet of large aerial firefighting assets consisting of both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft. Coulson Aviation Australia operate and manage New South Wales Rural Fire Service-owned aircraft in all aspects of maintenance, fleet support systems and management, and operating personnel. Our teams perform aerial firefighting missions, transport flights, intelligence and scanning missions, disaster mitigation, search and rescue operations, and related activities.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
We are currently recruiting Aviation Maintenance Apprentices to be part of both Fixed and Rotary Wing team!
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Under the Supervision of an AME, troubleshoot mechanical systems to identify problems, conduct scheduled and unscheduled inspections, and repair components as required.
- Document maintenance activities and ensure that work sheets, logs, tracking updates and other required records are complete and submitted in a timely manner.
- Be responsible for tool control and the general condition, upkeep and housekeeping of any hangar, workshop or related work areas and vehicles.
- Participate in on-the-job and external training programs as required.
- Nurture a safe working culture and compliance with our Safety Management System and other company documentation.
- Other duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Advanced Technical Writing Skills
- Above average computer skills
- Previous experience disassembling, cleaning, diagnosing, repairing or overhauling mechanical components
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Ability to read and interpret printed instruction and/or drawings
- Previous experience using Computerized Aircraft Maintenance Program (CAMP)
