Due to our company growth and expanding footprint, we are looking to add to our team and hire an Assistant Quality Assurance Manager.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
We are hiring for an Assistant Quality Assurance Manager to join the Quality Assurance team. Coulson Aircrane Ltd. is a Transport Canada Approved Maintenance Organization, Aircraft Operator and Manufacturer. The Assistant Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for overseeing the company internal audit program for the AMO and the AOC in accordance with the company quality management system, ensuring compliance with internal policies as well as with customer and regulatory requirements. In this role the Assistant Quality Assurance Manager will help with supervision over the Quality Department staff and ensure that quality department goals and objectives are achieved on time. The Assistant Quality Assurance Manager will also assist with external audits, such as Transport Canada audits and Customer audits.
This is a full-time position located in Port Alberni, on Vancouver Island. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan and ensure company internal audits are executed in accordance with the requirements of the Quality Management System.
- Perform on-wing aircraft audits, aircraft maintenance audits and technical documentation audits.
- Report audit findings to management.
- Participate in investigations and perform Root Cause Analysis.
- Facilitate and monitor the development and timely implementation of preventative and corrective actions.
- Conduct follow-up to ensure effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Assist in maintaining the Quality Management System.
- Identify opportunities for improvement.
- Facilitate enforcement of company policies and procedures.
- Participate in external audits, when necessary.
- Assist with holding the AMO accountable for/to the highest level of quality standards.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge of CAR 571, CAR 571 and CAR 706.
- Experience in maintaining a Quality Management System.
- Minimum of 7 -10 years of experience performing internal audits and maintaining a Quality Management System in an AMO environment.
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs.
- General knowledge of fixed wing aircraft/ rotary wing aircraft is an asset.
- Auditor training.
- Familiarity with AS9110 is an asset.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada.
