Due to this growth, we are seeking a Shipping Coordinator to join our team in Port Alberni, B.C.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Perform daily shipping tasks, including accurate and secure packing of shipments.
- Select appropriate packaging materials and methods suitable for aerospace products.
- Follow aerospace regulations and quality control requirements during packaging.
- Secure parts and assemblies to prevent damage during transit using specialized procedures.
- Organize and stage packaged shipments for carrier pick-up (e.g., FedEx, air freight, dedicated couriers).
- Verify carrier requirements and schedule pickups to meet deadlines.
- Inspect and confirm shipment integrity before carrier handoff.
- Complete all required shipping documentation (waybills, packing slips, compliance forms).
- Update shipment details in inventory and tracking systems.
- Ensure compliance with international and domestic shipping regulations.
- Support receiving operations, including unloading, inspecting, and documenting inbound shipments.
- Identify and report discrepancies in shipments (quantity, labeling, part numbers, damage).
- Operate material handling equipment (e.g. forklifts).
- Support additional Supply Chain department tasks as required.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 1–2 years of experience in shipping, warehousing, or logistics.
- High school diploma.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Aviation industry experience preferred.
- Ability to read packing lists, technical specifications, and part numbers accurately.
- Basic computer skills and experience with inventory systems.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (standing, bending, lifting).
- Ability to operate forklifts or other material-handling equipment (certification may be required).
- Strong time management, analytical, and judgment skills.
- Organized and detail-oriented approach.
