Aerospace Designer
Lead innovative aircraft design projects that keep our global firefighting missions flying. Coulson Aviation is seeking an experienced Aerospace Designer to take ownership of complex structural aircraft modifications that directly impact life-saving operations worldwide. You’ll push the boundaries of aerospace design, mentor our engineering team, and work cross-functionally to ensure every modification meets the highest standards of safety, performance, and certification.

We’re seeking an AEROSPACE DESIGNER to join our Canadian team.
HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE
- Design structural and mechanical installations, modifications, and repairs using CATIA V5.
- Oversee both new designs and revisions to existing ones.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the design team.
- Prepare reports and data packages for design approval and certification.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and other departments to support aircraft modifications.
- Assist in the development and updates of the Design Manual.
- Carry out other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- Relevant Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering degree.
- Minimum 20 years of aerospace design experience.
- Minimum 5 years of CATIA V5 experience.
- Strong capability in sheet metal and machine design.
- Knowledge of aircraft certification requirements.
- Thorough understanding of aerospace materials and processes.
- Strong organizational, analytical, oral, and written communication skills.
- Basic stress analysis capability (preferred).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general PC applications.
