We’re seeking a;
FIXED WING – DIRECTOR OF MAINTENANCE to join our U.S. team.
HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE TO THE GLOBAL MISSION
As our Company and aircraft work year-round to control wildfires in Chile, Australia, Canada and the USA, the chosen candidate for this role will be responsible to manage hangar and field maintenance functions across multiple countries and time zones. Working within our Part 145 Repair Station, located in Thermal, CA, we may consider a hybrid-remote agreement for the right person. There would also be an expectation for international travel, on occasion. You will;
- Implement, maintain, and enforce processes and procedures of N registered, fixed wing aircraft, to ensure maintenance, preventative maintenance, or alteration are all performed in accordance with the applicable data, schedules, and policies.
- Remain knowledgeable of Federal Aviation Regulations and Repair Station procedures and requirements, making recommendations on required directives to staff and upper management, as needed.
- Work with the Chief Inspector to identify current and future training needs for inspectors, mechanics, technicians, and support staff under the repair station.
- Maintain appropriate and current Code of Federal Regulations, Advisory Circulars, Specifications, Type Certificate Data Sheets, Technical Data and Airworthiness Directives and be able to access the forementioned and know how to utilize the ONLY current regulations on the FAA website.
- Maintain audit schedules, results, and corrective actions as requested by the Chief Inspector per RSQCM. Participating in rotating field audits with the C.I. and Safety Manager for Repair Station and USFS compliance.
- Ensure that overall hangar and field operations run smoothly, and that standards are maintained.
- Other related duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Part 145 PRM, DOM or licensed A&P Manager.
- A drive to succeed, a willingness to do what it takes, and pride in what you do!
- A Team attitude with high expectations for yourself, employees and others.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft programs.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with all levels.
