Coulson Aviation operates across the world with a growing fleet of aerial firefighting assets, consisting of both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft. With our privately owned and operated fleet of Boeing 737 FIRELINERS™, Lockheed C-130H Hercules, Cessna Citations, Boeing CH-47D Chinooks, Sikorsky S-76's and Sikorsky S-61's fire support platforms, we provide first class, rapid response delivery.
HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE:
- Flight Crew Support Assist pilots during all phases of flight by monitoring maintenance panels, clearing rotor blades, observing aircraft performance, and maintaining situational awareness for safe operations.
- Pre-Flight & Post-Flight Duties Participate in daily pre-flight and post-flight inspections, ensuring the aircraft is operationally ready, clean, and maintained in excellent condition. This includes fueling, washing, and engine inspections.
- Crew Resource Management & Communication Maintain proficiency in Crew Resource Management (CRM), aircraft systems, and emergency procedures while monitoring air-to-air and air-to-ground communications. Provide continuous support for traffic collision avoidance and situational awareness.
- Rescue & Specialized Equipment Operations Operate equipment, including external rescue hoists, mapping tools, cameras, and aerial firefighting systems such as fixed water tanks, hydraulic snorkels, buckets, and sling loads.
- Maintenance Support Conduct detailed pre-flight inspections, fuel sampling, and assist with ground support equipment (GSE). Document maintenance in compliance with FAA and company regulations, supporting the Crew Chief or Assistant Crew Chief as required.
THE NITTY GRITTY, YOU’LL NEED:
- Previous flight mechanic experience
- An A&P license
- A valid driver’s license
- A valid passport
