HR Generalist
Coulson Aviation Australia is a subsidiary of global aerial firefighting company, Coulson Aviation, and supports Australian States and Emergency Service Organizations with the provision of aircraft and experienced team members. Coulson Aviation operates across the world with a fleet of large aerial firefighting assets consisting of both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft. Coulson Aviation Australia operate and manage New South Wales Rural Fire Service-owned aircraft in all aspects of maintenance, fleet support systems and management, and operating personnel. Our teams perform aerial firefighting missions, transport flights, intelligence and scanning missions, disaster mitigation, search and rescue operations, and related activities.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
We are currently recruiting a Human Resources Generalist to be a part of our team!
The HR Generalist coordinates, carries out personnel related tasks, and maintains records to accurately reflect employee status and history. The HR Generalist also supports recruitment, special projects and HR initiatives. The HR Generalist completes employment documents and reports and may carry out market research and analysis.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Maintain and update information in the HRIS and personnel records to accurately reflect employee status and other employment information.
- Ensure records management protocol is properly managed and addressed.
- Administer full-cycle recruitment to fill entry level roles as needed, which includes sourcing, reviewing resumes, interviews and assessments, referencing, offers, system updates, and on-boarding.
- Ensure employee engagement through events, service acknowledgement, performance management, and initiatives that foster employee wellness.
- Conduct exit interviews to help evaluate employee satisfaction and turnover.
- Prepare ad-hoc and scheduled employment related reports.
- Work with other members of the HR department to support effective delivery of programs and services and ensure appropriate team members are aware of emerging issues.
- Support, develop and deliver projects and initiatives as assigned. Collaborate with others as required.
- Other duties as Assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be an Australian citizen or permanent residency status.
- A minimum 2-3 years of HR Generalist experience.
- Experience in the aviation industry is considered an asset.
- A strong understanding of how to manage confidential information.
- A team building mindset.
- Demonstrated experience in problem solving.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to obtain ASIC and RAAF passes.
