As Chief Inspector, you would have the authority and responsibility of coordinating and supervising all inspection functions for Coulson Aviation’s growing fleet of aircraft. We own, operate and maintain aerial firefighting assets, consisting of both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft. This includes Boeing 737 FIRELINERS™, Lockheed C-130H Hercules, Cessna Citations, Boeing CH-47D Chinooks, Sikorsky S-76's and Sikorsky S-61's, so the chosen candidate won’t be bored!
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
A qualified Chief Inspector with a drive to succeed, a keen eye for detail and a make it happen approach to life. We want someone who understands and respects the critical nature of the work we do, and supports a program which keeps our aircraft functioning at the highest standards. The Chief Inspector will also have the exciting opportunity to travel to a variety of locations and countries to conduct heavy checks.
HOW YOU’LL SUPPORT THE GLOBAL MISSION:
- Interface with the FAA, regulatory agencies, and consultants when needed
- Ensure quality control audits and inspection of fixed and rotary wing aircraft are initiated and completed in compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements
- Maintain appropriate and current Code of Federal Regulation, Advisory Circulars, Specifications, Type Certificate Data Sheets, Technical Data and Airworthiness Directives
- Oversee the Repair Station manual, forms and process to the highest standard
- Manage audit schedules, results and corrective actions
- Oversee the Repair Station Training Program following the requirements for initial and recurrent training for all personnel involved in all Repair Station activities
- Supervise, train and coach inspection personnel, ensuring they have the appropriate knowledge or are properly trained prior to assigning inspection tasks
WHAT YOU BRING:
- Previous experience performing inspection on aircraft
- A FAA A&P License
- Certification in Auditing Preferred
- Extensive FAA regulatory knowledge regarding Part 145 and MRO/AMO operations is essential. Additional knowledge including but not limited to part 91, 133, 137 would be preferred.
- General knowledge of Part 125 and Part 135 would be an asset.
- FAA IA endorsement preferred
- Excellent personnel relations with a team-oriented mindset
- Proficient in Microsoft programs
